What Are Power Pages?

Microsoft Power Pages is a low-code platform that allows organizations to create and publish secure external websites or portals. These portals can be used to provide external stakeholders such as customers, partners, and employees access to information and interact with a range of applications and services.

Power Pages can be customized without coding, making it easy for businesses to create and deploy portals quickly. The platform also offers a range of pre-built templates and connectors to popular services such as Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power BI, and more.
Power Pages can be used for a variety of use cases, such as customer self-service, partner management, employee self-service, community portals, event registration, and more. The portals are designed to be mobile-friendly and can be accessed from any device with an internet connection.
Power Pages also comes with built-in security features such as multi-factor authentication, role-based access control, and single sign-on capabilities to ensure that sensitive data is protected.

Our customer had been working with paper and spreadsheets. This resulted in double entry of data, often inaccurately, along with frequent broken formulas that drove customers crazy.

The Bauen team built a complete end-to-end Power Platform solution. First, we put a mobile app in the hands of field technicians that lets them track their daily measurements and activity. Whether there is a signal or not, the app lets them enter their data. Once it’s uploaded, back in the office an engineer validates the information and approves it for reporting to the customer. This is where we really up the ante.

Once the report is approved for distribution to the client, it is posted to a portal along with all of their other data. Notifications of their availability are sent via email or text, with a link back to the customer portal. Inside the portal, the customer can not only download their reports, but they can also access business intelligence reports that let them slice and dice the data within and across projects over any time period.
